Why Windows Computers Are So Bad

Why Windows Computers Are So Bad

The Intel driver that ships with the Dell is even worse. My coworker's network connection is hosed by this network with no SSID broadcasting. It is hosed because any time it detects a new wireless network, the Intel driver wants you to select the network you want to use--it won't just use the perfectly good one it has been using. As a result, I have been adding all of these other networks to an "exclusion list." You can see the red locks by their names in the picture. However, you can't add a network with no SSID to the exclusion list. And you can't join it. But it is there, so it is a Catch-22 for the dumb Intel driver. No network for you!

Small victory

Small victory

I'm chipping away at getting all my supplies organized, tonight I got a whole bunch of my fabric put away. I am resolved that my stash will not overflow this cabinet from here on out - I'm going to have to get rid of a bunch of stuff I have in storage.

I love this picture because it shows what nerdy nerds we are - the computer hooked to the television with wireless mouse and keyboard, the stereo receiver which has speaker wires running to different rooms around the house, the DVD player which is also hooked into the receiver to use as a CD player, and of course the Wii!
